AbstractThis paper presents an approach for urban regular objects detection applied to high-resolution imagery. The method gets as input one or more spectral channels and a set of polygons from a previous over-segmentation. To make the detection easy, a re-segmentation is previously performed. Using template matching and active contourns techniques, the polygons of interesting classes are processed and redefined. The result is a new set of polygons that better represents the urban objects on image. In order to verify the efficiency of the method, experimental results using synthethic data and QUICKBIRD image are presented.
